how to sell songs is over. We’re building our Urban and Hip Hop Music Library and collecting music from the best new and established producers in the scene. If you’d like to know
how to make money writing songs, this is a great opportunity. Our music has been featured all over television and radio including many shows on Discovery Channel, TLC, BET, MTV and more. We’re scouting the best of the best in new production talent.
We’re looking for superior, broadcast quality Urban and Hip Hop music and we want to hear what you have. We insist that anything you send us meet the following criteria:
- NO SAMPLES of existing music can be used in your compositions. None. Everything must be original and created by the composer.
- Your music must be of excellent recording quality and be broadcast ready.
- Your songs must be instrumental and vocal free.
- Everything submitted must be around or under 3:30 in length.
- All material must have an abrupt and resolving ending. No fades or crazy chords (even though we like both).
- You must be the sole owner of the musical copyright and master recording or be able to secure them. We generally prefer to deal with solo or duo writers to keep this simple.
About the music licensing careers we offer.
- Our deal is a
production music library
industry standard fixed 50% split. You keep 50% of the associated placement fees. You keep 100% of the writer’s share of performance royalties. We keep 100% of the publishers share. No bending on this point. When we place your music, you get paid and our business is getting your music placed.
